Lisboa Ginásio Clube

Lisboa Ginásio Clube is one of the oldest sports clubs in Lisbon, with a rich 95-year history.

Various athletes from the club have participated in Olympic Games, so the club is interested in the quality of its facilities. In addition to the four rooms where all classes for ASF will be held, there are spacious changing rooms with showers that you can use after class (or maybe in between classes if you’re doing a fast feet or solo class!)  In the changing rooms there are lockers that you can use during the day.  You must deposit a 1-euro coin in order to lock them.  This is returned when you unlock them.

Some of the floors are not very slippery, so make sure you bring your shoes which slide and pivot well on the floor in order to better do your turns and protect your knees.

There is a cafeteria on the ground floor of the club that serves lunches and snacks, and there are quite a few cafés near by where you could also have a quick bite in between your classes if you want.

We’ll have an info desk set up at the entrance – always manned by one or two of our ASF volunteers, so if you need any help during the day, don’t hesitate to come ask us!

Time Out Market Lisboa

All our parties will be held here from Thursday to Sunday.

Time Out transformed the old traditional market hall, Mercado da Ribeira, into a foodie hangout and concert venue.

The roots of this venue can be traced back to the 13th century, and it was once one of the most famous fish markets in Europe. Many of its traders have been selling fruit, vegetables, meat, fish and flowers there for decades – the place is part of the fabric of Lisbon.  Time Out now manages a large part of this iconic attraction, bringing together some of the city’s most loved names in food and drink, as well as Estúdio Time Out upstairs, which is where we’ll be having our parties.

A cultural venue for Lisboetas and tourists alike, it’s super conveniently located just across the street from the Cais do Sodré metro stop – extremely central and close to the river.

Campo Mártires da Pátria

A peaceful garden on the top of one of Lisbon’s 7 hills

This is just a hop, skip and a jump from our class venue, Lisboa Ginásio Clube, so we’ll be having our Chill Out Picnic on Friday here after classes.

This is a spot that is full of history, over the centuries; it has served as a bullring, flea market (Feira da Ladra) and a vegetable market.   During ASF it’s going to be our chill out space!
